CAGED - C and G Barre Chord Forms are Hard to Play!

Using the C-A-G-E-D system to build and play guitar chord inversions, arpeggio patterns, shapes and fingerings including advanced barre chords (bar chords) and chord fragments. Plus how to map the fretboard and learn caged songs.

I am very frustrated with the C and G chord forms. They are very, very difficult to finger in their full form.  Any suggestions?

Yes, don't! Only two of the CAGED barre chords are played in their entirety (they are the common A and E bar chords). The rest are always broken up into smaller chord shapes. While you should always visualize the whole chord form, you don't need to finger everything necessarily.

Hi Desi, I understand that C and G forms are hard to play in its entirety form and you suggest that we will mainly use partial forms. But is this just a tip for us beginners or professional players don't use them in full format to?

Professional players break them up too. That's why the song examples I give in my book and DVD are all partial forms.
