Desi,
Learning exponentially with your GMT program!
I am looping with a very basic Boss RC2, a 30W Crate acoustic amp, and Fishman pickup on my acoustic.
I want my loops to sound "acoustic", but can't figure out how to do it without buying more equipment.
I tried plugging a mic into pedal and playing into it, but it's a lower end mic and doesn't pick up guitar very well.
Any advice?

Not sure I understand your question. Are you saying that the sound
you're getting from the pickup/amp doesn't have a natural acoustic
sound? If so, then you obviously need to use something else. I used to
plug a Godin A6 and a Line 6 Variax straight into a Boss RC20 loop
station and then PA system and got a good acoustic sound. Sometimes I
even used electric guitar strings so I could bend and still got an
acceptable acoustic sound.

Getting the right tone is always a difficult thing. I don't know anyone who is immediately satisfied with their tone. There's always something more they're looking for.
