I don't blame you for getting thrown off by it. The changes are all over the place! Here's my take. The intro is C D which is IV V in the Key of G. The intro ends with F Em which is a bit of <a class="postlink" href="http://guitar-music-theory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=56&p=91">modal interchange</a> (borrowing the F chord from the key of Dm). The verse changes keys to Dm (F major) but has a chromatic bass line that descends D C# C B followed by Em and A7 with the A7 stemming from the D <a class="postlink" href="http://guitar-music-theory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=156">harmonic minor scale</a>. The next section at 0:39 ("How do I...") is iii vi ii V (3 6 2 5 or F#m Bm Em A) <a class="postlink" href="http://guitar-music-theory.com/chord-progressions.html">chord progression</a> in the key of D. Finally, at 0:48 ("...confuse me...") you have a I vi ii V (1 6 2 5 or F Dm Gm C) chord progression in the key of F. That's as far as I got! I hope this helps.
